DBT FOR SCHOOL MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TRAINING
This training is designed to help school based mental health professionals working understand the functions self-harming behaviours in youths, how to differentiate these behaviours from suicide attempts, and learn how to utilize crisis survival skills within the Distress Tolerance module in DBT and to help youths experiencing crises. This training combines didactic teaching with multi-media tools in order to provide a hands-on experience.
Participants are recommended to be currently working as a mental health worker in educational or school settings. All trainings at our centre are pre-approved for Continuing Education Credits (CEC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA-ACCP).
