DBT FOR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS PROTOCOL (DBT-SUD) TRAINING

This one day advanced training is designed for therapists, clinicians and mental health practitioners to adapt their DBT practice with SUD-specific strategies and skills with clients experiencing Substance Use Disorders. This training combines didactic teaching with multi-media tools in order to provide a hands-on experience.

Participants are recommended to hold a Masters degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology or equivalent. The degree requirement was set to ensure that participants have the basic competency as a front line mental health clinician. This training also assumes participants are registered with their respective regulatory bodies to ensure ethical and best health practices.

All trainings at our centre are pre-approved for Continuing Education Credits (CEC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA-ACCP).

*Please note that this is an advanced training for substance use disorders specific protocol, and does not serve as a substitute for the 5 day comprehensive training.
